04:38 pm - Da' Bout
Sooo Friday was our "Yuletide Beatings" bout with the Jingle Belles vs. The Nutcrackers. It was a dirty personal bout and it showed. People were not trying to win the game they were going after individuals and I wasn't innocent either. I broke yet ANOTHER skate the very first jam and was out the entire first period. Thankfully Velocity is like a drug dealer for skates and had 4 pairs in the trunk of her car. It threw me off the entire night and in the final period close to the end I went down on my knee again and it sucked... a lot. But knee's fine now. Well it's no worse then it was before, but I'm sure it's certainly not getting better. Anyhow, I have pictures!!

Taking Out Friction! Or trying to, I never did manage to bring her all the way down.If I had felt a little more stable on the borrowed skates I'm sure I could have fucked her up something good. She's my nemesis right now but I'm sure it will be awhile before I can really give it to her good:P

11:33 am - Pledges
We finally got our pledge sheets for our Skate a thon and I'll be taking any pledges anyone might want to make. If you missed that post we're doing a fundraiser to help pay for the travel team to get to KC in our first ever interleague bout. Each skater is taking pledges of pennies, nickels, dimes, whatever for each lap they skate in a 2 hour period. If you'd be interested in pledging a small amount for your favorite derby dame please let me know:) We will have lap counters and would need the pledges paid out by August 24th.

07:31 pm - Bout
OK, so I haven't given any updates on the last bout. It was a killer! We had so many injuries and leaves that we had to combine our four teams into two superteams. I, of course, was on the black 'evil' team. It was the best game ever! We were so close the entire time that it literally came down to the very last chaotic jam. I still say they didn't really win the refs just need glasses but if I had to lose that's the game to lose at!
Here's a few pictures from my friend Chris of the carnage!

I'm still a heffer but I get smaller and smaller with each bout!

01:05 pm - So done with paypal....
In January I sold something on ebay to a lady in the UK. I offered her different forms of shipping but she took economy with no tracking. On Feb. 1st she filed a refund with paypal in the amount of $80.09. I contacted paypal telling them that I had receipts and customs forms as proof of shipping and where should I send these. They replied that they did not need them at the moment, but if they did they would contact me and tell me where to fax them. They never contacted me. During this time I found out that the buyer was banned from ebay due to shill bidding and that she had also done a few other shady practices. On March 1st they refunded this buyer back her money. I only had $9 in my account so for some reason they gave her $54, put my account in the red, and sent me an email saying I needed to pay what I owed. I called paypal immediately the same day and spent 25 minutes waiting for an agent. When I got the agent she told me what I needed to fax to them and gave me all the information. I asked how long this could take, she said it could take up to another month. I then asked her if I could open a second paypal account because I had stuff that I was currently selling on ebay or if it was against paypal's policies. She said that I couldn't connect it to any of the accounts in the frozen paypal account but that I could open it with a credit card. So I did.

I faxed them 12 pages of information on the 8th of March. I then called them on the 9th and 11th to see if they had received the fax. (Each of these calls I had to wait 20-25 minutes just to get an agent) On the 11th I got a guy who said that normally it takes 24 hours for a fax to go through and that I should send it again. So I faxed them the pages again on the 14th. I was planning on waiting until today (March 16th) to call again. Yesterday I was at the post office and talked to the manager there about international online tracking, she said that there is none. You can get registered or insurance but it's not trackable online, it's only trackable through the post office should the items get lost.

Today I got an email about my second account being frozen, it currently has $120 in it. So this time when I called and waited 25 minutes I asked to be directed to a supervisor. I waited 15 minutes and got a message that I could leave my number and they would call back or wait. I chose to wait because I certainly didn't expect them to actually call me back. After another 20 minutes (They seem to have this down to a science) I got a "Senior Agent" named Dustin. I explained to him everything that had been going on and told him that a PAYPAL AGENT said that it was ok to open a new acount and to please take a hold off of that account so I can remove my money and then I will close it.

He then said "I cannot do that because you opened this account the same day the other one was frozen. You can't just open another account to avoid the resolution." I was floored. I told him to look at the logs and see how many times I've called, see how many times I've emailed, how many times I've faxed and the fact that I was on the phone this very minute is a sure sign that I'm definately avoiding it, yeah right. I told him what the postal manager said and his response was "I believe that they do have online tracking." I told him that the "Manager of the US postal service, a government worker, says differently." Obviously he wasn't going to be helpful so I asked him if the fax had shown up yet. He said no. I asked him if there was anyway he could find it or find out if it at least got there, he said no and then added "It won't matter because you need to have an online tracking number." I got upset and started to cry when I managed to compose myself enough to at least talk I asked him "So I have full proof in black and white, and you, or whoever gets this fax is going to be able to morally sit there and say you can't fix this problem that you made because allthough you have the paper form of a sent item, you need an online tracking number?" He got a little flustered and then said "Well if you knew you weren't going to have tracking you should have used the seller protection plan." I then told him "I had a little misguided faith in Paypal as being a decent company that if I had hard evidence that I could fax them that I did indeed send this item that they'd realise their mistake. He said "That's not the case." I then told him that I would be writing a letter to the corporation, I would be contacting the BBB, If I could figure out how I will be contacting the media, and if needs be I will contact a lawyer." I'm not sure when he hung up, but when I stopped talking the line was gone.

Now I've come to the realisation that I'm just going to have to give the $80 to freeze my other account, pull my money out and never ever ever use them again. I've allready contacted the BBB but I need some advice. Are there any lawsuits that I can get in on? I'd REALLY like to take these (fill in the blanks) down and I really want to contribute to help do that. I'm located in Colorado and I'll be more then happy to talk to anyone, write to anyone, etc.etc. Please let me know.
